Eligibility and Enrolling

The who’s and how’s of benefits enrollment

Before you can take advantage of the many benefits that Relias offers, you need to know who’s eligible for benefits and how to sign up for them.

Who’s Eligible

Employees—You’re eligible to enroll in Relias benefits if you’re a U.S. full-time or part-time 30-hour benefits eligible employee. You’re not eligible if you’re classified as an agency temp, temporary employee, independent contractor, or other non-employee.

Interns—Because you are in a short-term temporary position, you are not eligible for Relias benefits. This means you are not eligible for PTO, Company Holidays, or medical, dental, and vision coverage.

Family members—If you’re eligible for benefits, you can enroll the following family members in medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage:

  • Your spouse or qualifying domestic partner.
  • Your children, and/or your spouse/domestic partner’s children, under age 26.
  • Your children, or your spouse/domestic partner’s children, older than age 26 and solely dependent on you for support due to a mental or physical disability.

Note: Have your dependents’ Social Security numbers (SSNs) on hand when enrolling them in benefits. U.S. health care reform requires SSNs to be reported to the IRS for each covered individual.

When to enroll

You can enroll in Relias benefits:

  • Within 31 days of your hire date (if you are eligible).
  • During Open Enrollment, each fall.
  • When you have a qualifying life event, such as getting married or divorced, having a baby, adopting a child, or switching between part-time and full-time work.

How to enroll

You will enroll in your benefits through UKG, (sign in through SSO). First, you will add your dependents and/or beneficiaries and then you will choose the benefits you would like to enroll in.

Note: All benefits eligible employees must choose 1 of the 3 life insurance options. If you do not choose one of the below, you will be auto-enrolled in Basic Life 2x your earnings*.

  • $50,000 Option
  • Basic Life 1x your earnings
  • Basic Life 2x your earnings

*Your annual insured earnings include your base salary and exclude overtime, commission, bonus, etc.

401(k) Enrollment

You will also need to enroll in the 401(k) plan through NetBenefits, outside of UKG.

  1. Log into www.netbenefits.com (New User? Click Register)
  2. Click “Quick Links” (on the right)
  3. Click “Contribution Amount”
  4. Adjust the Pre-tax or Roth amount to the appropriate percent
  5. Click “Change Contribution Amount” at the bottom of the page to submit the change

Note: You will be auto-enrolled at a 6% contribution rate 60 days after your start date if a contribution amount is not selected in NetBenefits. You may select 0% if you do not wish to participate.
